Love - Ryan's and my love story is a long one, it was truly love at first sight for both of us, but the timing was very wrong, so we were just great friends for 6 years. Things changed and I picked up and left my life that I had and moved in with Ryan. I knew the moment that I saw him pouring coffee on my first day of work ( we met at work ) that I would marry him one day, it is hard to describe but I knew it deep down. We dated for a year, he purposed to me in a park that we always walked. He blind folded me, sat me down on a bench and when he took the blind fold was off he was down on one knee, surrounded by tons of tea light candles and a dozen long stem red roses, and asked me to marry him, and I of course said yes. That was August 27th 2005 ( which happens to be the first day of work when I first saw him 6 years earlier and Ethan's Birthday, and we didn't realize it until after ) Oct 22nd of 2005, we had a very very small wedding at the Traverston Mill in Glenelg. My Mom was my maid of honour, my Dad was Ryan's best man, and they both walked me down the aisle and besides the photographer and officiant no else was there, and it was absolutely perfect!!
Fast forward 10 years, I love him more now than I did that day ( which I didn't think was possible ) we have two crazy beautiful boys. He is truly my best friend, I can talk to him about anything and not be judged, he is there when I need him whether it is just to listen or just to let me cry on his shoulder. He has always been the constant in my life.
This man gave up his garage, tore it down and rebuilt my studio that I designed for 2 years on weekends and evenings after working 12 hour days and 44 + hour weeks. And when my intention for the studio changed to the work I do now, and I asked him if he was ok with that, he said 100% yes, he built it for me and for what I love to do, not for anyone else. He works his butt off so I can do what I love, and that is beyond amazing!
To say I am blessed to have met him, to have fallen in love with him and to be lucky enough to call him my husband and the father of our boys is a huge understatement. He and the boys are my world!!
I love that I get to grow old with this man <3
